Case Study: Rebuilding URI

In October 2010 I began work on a new streamlined homepage for the University of Rhode Island. As the months progressed the university decided to pursue the idea of using WordPress as a CMS, giving staff and those with lesser technical backgrounds easier access to management and control of their content.

The project eventually morphed into a complete site overall, which included a new homepage design, new base templates for inner-site pages and departments, and a custom mobile theme.

Initially my task for this project was to simply give the URI homepage a new coat of paint. As a current student.
