I am always working on expanding my skill sets, but there are some strong points which I am most comfortable with doing. Please take a look at the service list below and why I would be an ideal solution for you in each area.

Website Design – Be it a complete site construction with both design and code or simply a one page PSD design, web design is my specialty. I aim at providing you with a clear cut, no fluff design. Considering who your audience is and how you want to present your site to them is just one piece in the intricate puzzle that leads to a perfectly crafted site.

Xhtml and CSS Coding – Standards. 98% of the time my sites are fully XHTML Valid (always CSS Valid), but in some cases it just does not work out. I am a firm believer in Mike Davidson’s “March to your own standard.” You can not always be perfect. The push to have flawless code has become a “requirement” – which clients are always looking for and somehow can uproot experience and capabilities when it comes down to selecting a designer. The truth is it shouldn’t. Certain bits of code just don’t play nicely with the W3C, but just because it doesn’t validate fully does not mean you are not getting a quality product. Each and every coded site I do will work in every modern browser – and work exactly how you want it to. So look for perfection in design and presentation instead of being absolutely perfectly under the surface*.

*In 99% of cases valid code is obtained. But for those 1% of times, understand passing a “validation” test means little if your site does not function how it should.

WordPress Porting – Ready to turn your design into a fully functional WordPress theme? As a author of 6 freely released WordPress themes, a premium WordPress theme, and countless client work running on WordPress I may just be the next best thing to hiring an Automattic employee – ok so maybe not, but pretty damn close. I have been developing for WordPress since the days of WordPress 1.5 and know my way around my favorite CMS system. I can take your existing XHTML and CSS or your PSD and turn it into a working theme quickly and easily.

Logo Design – Logo design is an area I am trying to gain experience in throughout 2009. I will be getting a tablet and working on typography, construction, and visual presentation to improve my abilities for future clients. Right now I am keeping things to mainly text based, but soon the hope is that will change.

Project Consulting – Having had success with many projects beginning all the way with Soundvolume (2002) which was eventually purchased by Unborn Media Inc, the group behind Purevolume and Virb, I have proven myself as a wise and creative individual capable of thinking outside of the box and getting positive results. If you are starting a new project but are unsure of how to go about it, consider calling on me to do some consulting.
